The soundtrack to your Burn. Exclusive mixes by DJs active in the Burning Man Community, Alkaline aims to capture the sound of Burning Man by taking the listener on a journey through various musical styles and genres. The first season of Alkaline, encompassing Sessions A001 through A066, was the longest running as it aimed to capture a sweeping portrait of the global burner community. Returning now after a much needed hiatus, each new season of Alkaline will be built around a specific theme and aims to explore intentionally creative storytelling through the art of DJing.

The second season of Alkaline features the return of some of our favorite knob twisters creating brand new mixes under the unifying theme: Phoenix Syndrome. As Burning Man returns and our community rises from the ashes, this theme playfully ponders if the cycle of rebirth is an addiction of the human experience. It pulls ideas and themes from Carl Jung's Shadow Work, explores the various stages of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey and hints at Abraham Maslow’s later writings on the topic of transcendence. The new season of Alkaline premiers with Session P001 in March and runs through December of 2022.
